This is an entirely secure data transfer system accessible by log-in and password only, which was first trialled in 2002 and which now has developed into a uniquely sophisticated communication system between teachers, parents and students at IH Porto

Periodically, for each student registered on a course we publish on-going assessments, test results and commentaries to give full account of progress being made and how the student might make improvements in certain areas. Storage of information is thus compacted into easily accessible English development portfolios, fast, effective and paper free.

Students and parents are able to monitor progress on-line. Furthermore, students may send in their homework electronically. If a student misses a lesson, there is always the back up security of being able to refer to the Intranet where the homework task is posted by the teacher. In this way a student may submit work later and therefore, maintain control over potential for achievement and progress.

Also students can access additional support resources such as practice tests for examination students, and take part in a whole range of on-line forum discussions involving other students, teachers, different classes even, within the environment of IH Porto.

This is an example of IH Porto being up to date, meeting contemporary demands and client expectations in an imaginative and educationally sound manner.
